La Balmesina


Kitchen: Italian Price range: 12 euros for a pizza Specialties: Long fermented dough Where: Sant Gervasi (Calle Balmes 193, FGC Graciá)


Even though this restaurant is not really in the centre of Barcelona, according to locals is this the best pizzeria in town! What makes these pizzas so exceptional?

The long fermented dough makes the taste even better as well that it is better for your digestion.



Dos Palillos


Kitchen: Fusion, Asian tapas Price range: 15 - 50 euros for main dish Specialties: Very good Asian menu Where:El Raval (c/Elisabets 9, metro L1 Universitat of L3 Liceu)


At Dos Palillos are tapas not just 'a way of eating' but more a philosophy. 

Don't expect Spanish tapas like tortillas and patatas bravas but more focused on the Asian gastronomy. Not long ago the restaurant received its first Michelinster!

Additionally, there is a heated terrace outside.



7Portes


Kitchen: Spanish Price range: 25 - 30 euros for main dish, side dish, a drink and desert Specialties: It's Paella Where: Between La Barceloneta and El Born (c/Vila i Vila) This restaurant has a very rich history as it started in 1836! The name comes from the way the building was built. The restaurant has 8 entrances, wherefrom 7 are for customers, 7Portes. This traditional restaurant is mainly visit by tourist, even though locals like to come here too quite often! The menu as very varied.

Kitchen: Modern Catalan  Price range: from 120 euros for a menu, without drinks Specialties: Two Michelinstars Where: Eixample (C/Vilaroel 163, metro Hospital Clinic Disfrutar is Spanish for ENJOY! That will certainly not be a problem as this restaurant is one of the greatest of the world, claiming its place in almost every list of the best restaurants. Menu's are from 120 euros and reserving for the place is of course a must.

Marea Alta

Kitchen: Fish Price range: 30 - 70 euros for a menu Specialties: Spectacular view over the harbor and sea Where: Barceloneta (Av. Drassanes 6, metro L4 Barceloneta) Very good food with a view over the old harbor and the Mediterranean sea. The best dish of the restaurant is the fish from the barbecue. Which is 65 euros per kilo, perfect to share with 2 or 3 people! The restaurant also has some meat dishes.
